Reverend Erandall Osborn and Dan Kaplan ’76, Chair of the Antioch University Board of Trustees Coretta Scott King ’51, Joan Straumanis ’57, and Rick Jurasek met on the steps of Antioch Hall. Coretta Scott King ’51 accepts the Horace Mann Award for her victories for humanity from the President of the Alumni Board, John Feinberg ’70, and the President of Antioch College, Joan Straumanis ’57. Robert D. Krinsky ’57, Former Chair of Board of Trustees and current Chair of the Campaign for Antioch College, accepted the J.D. Dawson Award at Reunion 2004. The award recognizes significant contributions to Antioch College by alumni or friends of Antioch. The nominees for this award are persons who have contributed in a significant way to Antioch College or a program of Antioch College. Robert Krinsky ’57, award winner and chair of the Campaign for Antioch College, and Jewel Graham, Emerita Professor of Social Work, talk after the award presentations.

Lillian Pierson Lovelace ’51, community volunteer and philanthropist, accepted the Arthur Morgan Award. The award recognizes contributions by alumni or friends of the College which exemplify the concept of “community” advocated by Morgan. The nominees for this award are persons or groups of persons who have contributed to their community — either local, national or world — in a manner which brings members of the community together in order to work toward common goals. Martin Luther King III and Jimmy Williams, Dean of Community Life Michael Heffernan ’96 and Christian Feuerstein ’94 Stephen Arpadi ’75, Julia Reichert ’70 and Laura Markham’80 plan the ceremony for the Josh Hanig Prize. The Hanig Prize will be awarded to an Antioch College film student working on a documentary film about a domestic or international social and/or political issue.
