Antioch for Your M.A.
By Sean Creighton, Co-Director, Student and Alumni Services
& Development Director, Antioch University McGregor

Sprung from the womb of Antioch College 15 years ago, Antioch University McGregor was specifically designed to serve the needs of adult learners. Our approach to education stems from Antioch’s historical emphasis on intellectual, emotional, and ethical development. Since our inception, we’ve had a number of College alumni come through our distance programs. Would you like to return to your alma mater to pursue graduate learning?

We’ve had strong interest from College alumni in our Individualized Liberal and Professional Studies (ILPS) distance program, which offers students a unique opportunity to pursue graduate education through individualized, limited residency study. In ILPS, students pursue a master’s in areas such as creative writing, film studies, art history, community development, intercultural relations, and philosophy. The choices are open to most areas except the hard sciences.

Another exciting opportunity for distance students is our M.A. in Conflict Resolution, which integrates alternative modes of learning such as short residential sessions, on-line learning, practicum, and at-home study. The program is nationally and internationally recognized, with a reputation for graduating students who are highly skilled and knowledgeable theorist-practitioners in the field of mediation and facilitation.

Recently, we launched a new management track for community college professionals. While studying traditional management disciplines, students focus on issues relevant to community colleges. For your convenience, the coursework is delivered through a combination of online study and summer residential sessions.

If you are interested in extending your education, return to Antioch. Be the difference!
