Karen Lind '58 just published a book of poetry, Earthwalking & other poems, under her pen name, Karen Ethelsdattar. Karen has published two chapbooks under her pen name, Woman Artists & Woman as Art and The Cat Poems. Her poems have appeared in WomanSpirit, Off Our Backs, Dark Horse, Calyx, Northwest Magazine, International Quarterly, The Christian Science Monitor, and in Starhawk's book The Spiral Dance, as well as in other publications. She has co-authored liturgies with Ann Doemland which appear in Women's Ordination Conference's Liberating Liturgies and in the United Methodist Women's Response magazine and Women Weaving One World, a collection of program resources.

After completing a degree in English literature at Antioch, she lived for 20 years in the Chelsea section of New York City, where she raised daughter Erika and son Andrew. She now divides her time between New Jersey and New York City, where she co-founded a women's celebration group, Eve's Well, and has been active in interfaith dialogue and celebration.

Joanna Macy, author of World as Lover, World as Self, writes of Karen's work: "Thank you for your most amazing and beautiful poem, 'Earthwalking.' Thank you for receiving and writing it, and for sending it to me -- the gift of receiving words for my own half-conscious experience."

The book is available through www.Xlibris.com/bookstore, Amazon.com, Borders.com, Barnesandnoble.com and at your local bookstore.
