Watch
for the Sesquicentennial
Antioch
is preparing to celebrate its 150th anniversary in 2003/2004.
The sesquicentennial celebration will begin with a presentation at the
College’s Reunion in June by 1996 Nobel Laureate José Ramos-Horta,
Prime Ministor of East Timor. Ramos-Horta is a graduate of Antioch University.
In October, the College will host a panel discussion tentatively titled
“Courage in the Social Sciences,” as well as other events
which will coincide with the meetings of the Board of Trustees and Alumni
Board. Special regional alumni events will also be organized throughout
the year. A local celebration will occur in early October which will mark
the 150th anniversary of Founder’s Day on October
5, 1853.
